Just as last year, this year's Starparty of the SNA (Société Neuchâteloise d'Astronomie) is taking place again on the Tête de Ran in the Canton of Neuchâtel, that's about half-way between Neuchâtel and La-Chaux-de-Fonds. The observing site is on 1325m above see level and in direct proximity to the Vue-des-Alpes. The site can be reached easily on paved roads from both Neuchatel and La Chaux-de-Fonds. On the general map below you find the approximate distances to a few major cities of Switzerland and France (clicking on the map results in a larger and clearer version).

Besides the possibilities to observe and exchange astronomical experiences, there will be ample of time to explore the beautiful Jura  by foot and car.
